Carrying out an energy audit makes it possible to deal with the current lack of control over energy consumption and high municipal energy bills. The vehicles audit allows us to analyse the energy performance of the existing municipal fleet of vehicles in Nabeul and thus optimise management of the fleet, how it is used, maintenance and energy and financial expenses. In collaboration with MedCités, ANME, ADEME and GIZ, the municipality of Nabeul carried out an energy audit of the municipal fleet.
The terms of reference for the energy audit of the fleet of vehicles allow them:
1. to provide an analysis of the existing fleet based on available data and a complementary on-site study;
2. to propose solutions, on the basis of the above analyses, to optimise the management of the existing fleet, its use, maintenance and expenses (energy and financial), and finally;
3. to propose a method for monitoring and evaluating the actions selected, making it possible to measure progress and to reframe the system if necessary.

RELEVANCE

The energy audit tool for the municipal vehicle fleet enables them to identify the actions needed to reduce energy consumption and operating costs of the fleet. It therefore enables the municipalities to better align themselves with the “Energy Transition Plan”, in the case of Tunisia.
