DESCRIPTION

The Quick Rick Estimation Tool by UNISDR can be used for the identification of current and future risks, stress, shocks and exposure threats to both human and physical assets. Rather than providing a full in-depth assessment as a single result, the tool is designed to be employed by multiple stakeholders from a given city in order to generate a common understanding of the risk situation in their city.

Taking into account the actions or corrective measures already undertaken, the QRE will produce a dashboard-style risk assessment advising the risks and hazards to human and physical assets, impacts of identified main risks and associated perils on the specified location and/or particular asset.

RELEVANCE

The QRE draws poses a different approach to the other risk tools included in the platform given its focus on integrating different stakeholders into the exploration process.
