DESCRIPTION

The Guidelines for Using Greywater for Irrigation are part of the CSBE Greywater Reuse project, funded by the Enhanced Productivity Program at the Jordanian Ministry of Planning.

They are divided into 4 main parts: a brief introduction on what constitutes greywater, the sources of greywater, which kind of treatments they need, and possible uses of it.

In total, there are 15 clear and easy-to-understand guidelines that can help other public authorities implement an irrigation system with greywater. It also provides references to additional information on this matter.

RELEVANCE

This document is a valuable source to the Medurbantools platform, because it gives easy-to-understand and clear guidelines on using greywater for irrigation. In many countries of the Mediterranean, water is a scarce resource and greywater use can significantly contribute to increasing the resource efficiency.
