Project description

The City of Sfax has promoted the Sfax Smart City Living Lab with the main aim of transforming public services in order to improve their provision and engage citizens in the democratic and decision-making process. This is possible due to new ICT solutions, so that citizens not only have easy access to data and information, but improve their interaction with local services.

The mission of Sfax Smart City Living Lab is to create a living environment for users and different sectors in order to reveal their innovative ideas thanks to the collaboration between the public and private sectors.

It is mainly an open platform for public-private actors aiming to increase life standards of citizens by taking into account their needs and expectations regarding research and technological development.

It is a great method to reveal innovative ideas based on the collaboration and cooperation of multiple actors such as universities, citizens, companies, research institutions, NGOs, media, experts and public institutions.

The main topics of the Sfax Smart City Living Lab are: Smart Administration, Smart Media, Smart Transport, Smart Energy, Smart Environment and Smart Health.
