Project description

The Interreg MED INCIRCLE project builds up on previous projects (BLUE ISLANDS, EMBLEMATIC, CASTWATER, MITOMED, ALTERECO LOCATIONS, AcT4LITTER), capitalizing knowledge and available tools to test a new methodology that applies the principles of circular economy to the tourism sector, with a focus on the needs of islands and low density areas.

INCIRCLE tailored policies address mobility, energy efficiency, use of limited resources as water and waste production, while enhancing community prosperity and quality of life.

Impact and results

Charging facilities for 2 cars and 10 e-bikes/e-scooters. Approximately 30 KWh installed solar power producing around 45.000KWh/year allowing for example the municipal e-car to cover approx. 225.000 Km
