Project description

In a context of accelerated urbanization and increased mobility, Bizerte, with the planned construction of a new bridge, is set to undergo major changes, in particular at the digital and technological levels, which will affect its international position. In this context, the Bizerte 2050 Association has just launched an ambitious program called Bizerte Smart City that aims to transform the capital of northern Tunisia into a smart and sustainable city.

The project initially concerns the entire Bizerte region, including other cities such as Sejnane, Menzel Jémil, Joumine and Ghezela and, in the second phase, all regions of the country in the context of interregional a period of 30 or 40 years. This project must, first and foremost, be preceded by the creation of an ecosystem committed to a sustainable development strategy using new technologies, in cities and in rural areas. The aim is to integrate he smart components into the development of these future projects, namely in the management of mobility, energy, building and housing, public service, mobilityand integrated management.
