The commune of Sousse manages about 30,000 light points, whose energy bill represents a high cost, corresponding to 7% of the commune’s overall budget. The city of Sousse, within the framework of the integrated urban development programme (PDUI), works for “sustainable energy management” and seeks to reduce the energy consumption of the Municipality and its territory.
To this end, the city of Sousse, in partnership with SECO, has planned the realisation of a “Lighting Plan” for public lighting. First of all, an inventory of fixtures of the street lighting service has to be drawn up, then a database of the public lightning network of the commune of Sousse has to be designed and produced. After conducting a technical and energy diagnosis, the project carries out an in-depth energy audit. The project also aims to strengthen the capacity of the technical team of the public lighting service. Finally, the document resulting from the project collects proposals to improve the night landscape of the city of Sousse. The methodology for establishing the Lighting Plan is detailed in the Terms of Reference linked below.
