Short Bio

Prof. Michael Scoullos is the Director of the UNESCO Chair and Network on Sustainable Development Management and Education in the Mediterranean, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
A European Parliament Representative in the Management Board of the EEA (1993-2018).
He has acted as Scientific Advisor to the EU, UNEP, UNESCO, IFAD, IUCN, several governments and is now the Team Leader of the Capacity Building Component of the EU Funded Programme SWIM-Horizon 2020 SM.
Chairman of the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE) and of the Global Water Partnership –Mediterranean (GWP-Med).
Chairman of International Panel of Experts of the World Bank for the Red Sea- Dead Sea Conveyor.
