DESCRIPTION

This guide was prepared by the ANIMA team within the framework of the EDILE project (Economic Development through Inclusive and Local Empowerment). The project aims to promote the inclusive development of local economies through better qualification, assessment and evaluation of investment projects. It also links other valuable resources which are part of the EDILE toolbox.

This guide provides helpful information on the assessment and optimisation of investment projects and is therefore an innovative tool for local and national public authorities responsible for monitoring investment projects.

The guide is divided into different parts: a glossary; a presentation of a case study that serves as a common thread; an overview of the main analysis methods and monitoring that are available to investors; and a detailed description of 70 project assessment criteria.

RELEVANCE

Cities need to attract investment, and this guide is an innovative tool for local and national public authorities that are responsible to assess and monitor social, economic and environmental impacts of investment projects.
